Family is important to Faye

"I'm proud to say that Tampa has been my home for more than 40 years.  My husband, Jim, and I will celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary in December of 2010.  During our years in Tampa, we have been blessed with two sons, Jim, Jr. and David—both of whom graduated from Hillsborough County public schools."

"I was the oldest of four children when my mother died and my father was unable to take care of us.  I was four at the time.  Raised by various aunts & uncles, I learned a lot as a child in Sunflower, Mississippi.  Belonging to the 4-H Club gave me the necessary skills and the leadership training to lay the foundation for my accomplishments throughout my life.  Values like community, opportunity, personal responsibility and honesty literally shaped my life in that little Mississippi Delta town.  And with those same values in mind, Jim and I raised our own family here in Tampa."
